Bollareddy Vimala Reddy, popularly known as YS Vimala Reddy accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 2008. She was called to be an evangelist and started preaching the gospel. She did all her theological courses like B.D. ; M.Th ; M.A. (Christian Studies) and got an honorary doctorate. As she was not satisfied with an honorary doctorate, she did her T.hd to earn her doctorate. She is an itinerant evangelist and a bible teacher. She is also Vice-president of Haggai India, where they train christian leaders.

She is a widow with a son and a daughter, who are blessed with two children each. All of them are residing in Hyderabad.
She is the only sister of YSR with four more brothers. Five of her husband's siblings also reside in Hyderabad.
She is the President of Christian Evangelical Education Fellowship of India (CEEFI), an organization that trains Sunday School teachers and supplies English and Telugu Sunday School books for all ages across India. She is a voluntary teacher for Christian pastors in Bible colleges in Andhra Pradesh. She is also an executive member of Haggai India, where they train Christian leaders.
